What fields are required when adding a new employee to Namely to ensure successful payroll processing.

Required Employee Profile Fields

These employee fields are required to run payroll. If they are not complete, they will surface on the Profile Status page. For more information see Adding a New Employee to Namely Payroll

Namely HCM

Personal Tab

  • First name

  • Last name

  • DOB

  • SSN

  • Work email

  • User status

  • Access role

General Tab

  • Employee Type

  • Job Title

  • Start Date

  • Payroll Company

  • Pay Group

  • Include in Payroll

Optional Employee Profile Fields

These employee fields are not required to run payroll, and will not surface on the Profile Status page. 

Namely Payroll

Wage

    • Adjust the overtime rate if it is different than 1.5X the hourly rate.

Deductions

  • One-time deductions

    • If you use Namely Benefits, benefit deductions are created when the employee goes through Open Enrollment. Only update and/or add deductions that are not related to your company’s benefit offerings.
